WebFilings is a privately‐held Los Altos, California and Ames, Iowa‐based company that offers the first and only end‐to‐end solution for external financial reporting. The company develops and markets a fully‐integrated, cloud‐based solution dedicated to meeting SEC reporting requirements. With WebFilings, reporting teams collaborate in real‐time on their financial reports from accounting close through SEC acceptance – including integrated EDGAR HTML conversion and XBRL mapping and tagging. As a result, WebFilings reduces the time, risk, and costs associated with the entire external reporting process.

WebFilings Management Team Background 

The WebFilings leadership team is comprised of accomplished entrepreneurs whose backgrounds include: software engineering and development, marketing and extensive SEC reporting domain expertise. Our management team has successfully led other ventures into Initial and Secondary Public Offerings, leading and managing publicly held companies. 

Six members of the WebFilings leadership team previously collaborated to build Engineering Animation, Inc. (EAI). Founded in 1989, Engineering Animation was grown from a bootstrapped start-up to a public company with over $100M in revenue.  EAI became a public company in 1996 (J.P. Morgan and Cowen) and was acquired by EDS in 2000 (Goldman Sachs).
